Job description
Compliance Lead - People Team
Location: Chesterfield, South Yorkshire
Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week, hybrid working
Salary: Competitive based on experience
Sponsorship: This role is not eligible for sponsorship, so we\'re looking for candidates who already have the right to work in the UK
We\'re looking for a Compliance Lead to own the full colleague compliance cycle across ivolve - from the moment we engage with a candidate through to the day-to-day governance of our colleagues\' right to work, for the whole of their employment with us.
Role purpose
This role is responsible for compliance across the entire colleague lifecycle. The journey starts with a candidate at the point of hire, through to routine file audits to ensure we're meeting both legal and regulatory requirements. Think right to work checks, ID verification, colleague file audits for robust record keeping including references that verify employment history, plus management of the online system where changes are notified to the regulatory body in real time. You'll keep our data current and accurate and will take a lead role in ensuring updates in our HR platform are made timely and accurately.
You\'ll report into the Group People Services Manager and work in a collaborative way. The role is built around three things: audit, governance, and process. You will run the audit rhythm that proves our files are complete and current, set the governance that holds those standards in place, and keep the processes fit for a workforce where immigration status, sponsor duties and regulatory checks are subject to continual review and change.
This is a hands-on role. You will carry a substantial share of the doing yourself, completing checks, auditing files, managing reporting deadlines and ensuring records are accurate and current. You\'ll need to be as comfortable in the detail of a right to work check as you are leading a conversation with your peers and leaders to inform, educate, and highlight opportunities and risk. You'll be comfortable working with multiple workstreams and stakeholders to collate information for robust oversight and reporting purposes.
What we\'re looking for
Experience of colleague compliance within a regulated or high-volume organisation, with knowledge of right to work requirements and sponsor duties
A track record of owning audit and governance, not just completing checks
Confidence with the detail - accuracy matters here, and so does knowing why it matters (being curious with the data)
Someone who is equally willing to do the work and be hands-on while coordinating workstreams and turning data into reporting leaders can act on
You'll be a people person; someone who can build relationships, influence, and drive positive progress and outcomes. You might have managed a team directly which has contributed to your ability to shape and influence
Organised, effective, efficient will be the key skills to be successful within the role
Ability to identify challenges and propose the solutions required to address them
What we offer
We go beyond expectations for our colleagues as well as the people we support. Our reward package includes much more than pay, 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays and pension. Your birthday off with pay after a year of service and there is a £300 refer a friend scheme too!
In addition, we also offer the following:
If you're ready for a job that can truly make a difference and you're up for a challenge, then this is the role for you!
