Job Title: Compliance Specialist

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $30-$32/hr.

Employment Type: Contract - 3-4 month anticipated assignment

Job Description:

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established national organization to identify an experienced Real Estate Licensing Compliance Analyst. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented compliance professional with extensive multi-state real estate licensing experience who thrives in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

The successful candidate will oversee real estate brokerage and individual licensing matters across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements while partnering closely with internal stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while supporting a highly collaborative legal and compliance team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multi-state real estate brokerage and individual licensing, including new applications, renewals, amendments, reciprocal licenses, and surrenders
  • Research state real estate licensing requirements and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulations
  • Maintain and update licensing records and reporting within internal licensing management systems
  • Monitor license renewals, continuing education requirements, and regulatory deadlines
  • Coordinate with state real estate commissions, designated brokers, and internal business partners regarding licensing matters
  • Complete license verification requests and resolve licensing discrepancies
  • Prepare and submit licensing applications and related documentation through state licensing portals
  • Support designated broker changes and other brokerage licensing updates
  • Generate licensing reports and provide compliance updates to internal stakeholders
  • Reconcile licensing-related expenses and maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain organized electronic records while handling confidential information with discretion

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in real estate brokerage licensing or regulatory compliance (real estate brokerage experience required; mortgage licensing experience alone is not sufficient)
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-state real estate licensing for both individuals and brokerage entities
  • Experience coordinating designated broker changes
  • Strong understanding of state real estate licensing regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service mindset
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while working independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Airtable or similar licensing management platforms
  • Familiarity with Canadian real estate licensing requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
