    Description

    I'm looking for an experienced Senior Composite Design Engineer to lead the development and design of composite structures and components for a cutting-edge eVTOL aircraft. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring structural integrity, optimizing weight, and enhancing the overall operator experience. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the evolution of aerospace technology while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Responsibilities Spearhead the design and development of composite structures and components for eVTOL aircraft, focusing on achieving optimal structural integrity, weight reduction, and user experience.Use CAD tools, primarily CATIA V6, to create precise models and technical drawings for composite, plastic, and metal parts and ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including stress engineers, manufacturing, and aerodynamics experts, to optimize designs for both performance and manufacturability.Conduct detailed feasibility studies and trade-off analyses to evaluate different materials, manufacturing processes, and design alternatives.Lead efforts to integrate advanced composite design methodologies and incorporate emerging materials and manufacturing technologies into the design process.Collaborate with stress engineers to perform structural analysis and ensure designs meet all safety, regulatory, and certification requirements.Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.At least 8 years of hands-on experience in composite design and development, preferably in aerospace, aviation, or automotive industries.Expertise in CATIA V6 for composite modeling and design.In-depth knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing techniques, and their applications in aerospace.Strong understanding of composite design principles, laminate theory, and structural analysis methods.Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and work collaboratively across teams.Experience with eVTOL or electric aircraft design.Familiarity with aerospace industry standards and regulations regarding composite structures (e.g., FAA, EASA).Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function EngineeringIndustries Aerospace#J-18808-Ljbffr
