What’s a typical day as Compounder? You’ll be:
  • Weighing ingredients according to formulas using calibrated scales and placing them in sanitized containers
  • Washing, sanitizing, and setting up manufacturing equipment following cGMP procedures
  • Compounding lotions, creams, shampoos, soaps, and drink products by mixing ingredients per written procedures
  • Operating processing equipment such as pumps, tanks, and mixers; adjusting mixer speed as needed
  • Using Drum Manipulator to transfer ingredients with minimal waste
  • Drawing product samples for lab testing and documenting batch details
  • Identifying and correcting incorrectly prepared batches; using math skills to problem-solve formulas
  • Keeping the compounding area clean and organized
  • Safely operating forklifts to move materials within the department
  • Utilizing the inventory system for weighing and tracking materials
  • Complying with company SOPs, safety guidelines, and OSHA recommendations
  • Assisting packaging and lab personnel, and filling in for team members as needed
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
  • Have a high school diploma or GED (required)
  • Have at least 1 year of compounding experience (required) and 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Are able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for up to 4 hours at a time
  • Possess manual dexterity for record keeping and have good eye/hand coordination
  • Can bend, squat, kneel, balance, turn, stoop, reach forward and overhead
  • Can climb ladders up to 10 feet and safely operate a forklift (or are willing to be trained)
  • Can accurately convert measurements and read/write English to follow procedures
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with data entry
  • Can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and are familiar with inventory systems such as RF Gen
