Overview
The Computed Tomography Technologist performs computerized tomographic scans according to established standards. Provides basic patient care, explains standard procedures and answers patient questions, maintains equipment, transports patients and prepares and maintains documentation.

Responsibilities
Patient Care*Obtains patient history.
Modality Specific* Operate head or body scanners to create a computer generated cross-sectional image of patient''s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.
Quality* Adheres to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety as well as all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
EducationAssociates of Applied Science or other Related Fields- Required
Certification & LicensuresAZDHS Certified Radiologic Technologist and Preceptor CT-Required
ARRT (CT) to be obtained within 12 months of hireORStaff member must have AZDHS Certified Radiologic Technologist and CT license grandfathered - Required
BLS (American Heart Assoc.)- Required
Fingerprint Clearance Card application number- Required upon hire
Fingerprint Clearance Card- Required within 90 days of hire
Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience as imaging technologist - Preferred
