Title: CT Technologist
Location: Elgin Illinois 60123
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 10hr Night Shift (40)
Shift Information: 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, except during the employee's scheduled weekend rotation
Clinical Interviewing- Yes
On Call, Call Back Requirements: Yes – overnight, 2x a month (could be weekends)
Weekend Rotation: every other
Holiday Requirements: every other major holiday
Floating Requirements: None

- AAH will require the Covid vaccine.

First-time traveler: Yes
Patient Types:
- Inpatient/Outpatient/ER: all scans are done in the ED; approximately 25-30% are peds (peds experience preferred)
- Required : general anatomy, stroke alerts, CTA perfusion studies, chest, abdomen, pelvis, head
- Preferred: coronary studies (TAVRs); Procedural: biopsies, drains
Patient Ratios: 1:1
Required Certifications:
- Required : BLS, ARRT
- Preferred: ARRT-CT
Skills required
- General CT experience in a hospital setting, experience with the above patient types, IV starts
- Experience with Client Revolution HD
- Ability to work independently & in a fast-paced, team environment.
Support on the Unit:
- Other CT techs; traveler will be working alone on night shift
- RRT/Code Blue team
- Transport available for inpatient scans; CT tech will transport ED patients
- Rad tech also often available for transport assistance
Charting System/Equipment:
- EPIC
- Alaris IV Pumps
- Pyxis
Floating: None
Orientation: At least one shift on the unit to learn flow
Scheduling:
- Weekend rotation: every other
- Can we approve time off: Manager to approve all RTO
- On call: Yes – overnight, 2x a month (could be weekends)
- Holiday Expectations: every other major holiday
