Concession Line Cook – La Jolla (Part-Time + Tips)

Job Title: Café/Concession Cook
Location: Scripps Birch Aquarium Café, La Jolla
Job Type: Part-time $20-$24 hourly plus tips

Job Summary:

Splash Cafe is looking for friendly and reliable cook to provide excellent customer service while preparing and serving food and beverages. Attendants will prepare food orders, maintain cleanliness, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all customers.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve food and beverages (i.e. sandwiches, salads, burgers, snacks, hot dogs, etc.)
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations and dining areas
• Restock inventory and supplies as needed
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties
• Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous food service is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & Compensation:

• Flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Pay: $20 - 24 per hour (based on experience)
• Part time schedule with closing shifts 3-5 shifts a week
• Scheduled shift times approximately 12:00pm-8:30pm
• Parking included at no cost to employees
