Job Title: Batch Plant Operator

Job Summary:

The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for managing the daily operations of the batch plant, including the mixing and production of materials. This role requires a strong understanding of batch processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols to ensure efficient and safe production.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and Control Operations: Oversee the batching process, ensuring that materials are mixed according to specifications and production schedules.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on batching equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, including batch quantities, material usage, and equipment performance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to optimize production processes and resolve any operational issues.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Must have good communication skills
• Must pay attention to detail and demonstrate independent reasoning and judgment.
• Must have the ability to work in and contribute to production improvement, associate involvement and temporary teams as assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Will be exposed to plant production development, indoors and outdoors
• Exposed to elements cold, heat and humidity
• Regularly required walking, twisting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, standing, reaching, bending and moving about the yard/facility.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• May handle potentially hazardous equipment and materials
• Occasional testing of equipment
• Work well alone
• Must exhibit flexibility, good attitude and dependability
