Job Description
Concrete Finisher-Delaware Valley Paving. Key Responsibilities - Set forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth
- Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds
- Smooth and finish surfaces using hand and power tools (trowels, floats, edgers, and power trowels)
- Monitor curing process and apply curing compounds as needed
- Cut joints and ensure proper expansion control
- Repair, resurface, and replace damaged concrete
- Operate basic construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Work collaboratively with crew members, foremen, and project managers
- Additional tasks as needed to support operations
Qualifications - Valid driver’s license strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a concrete finisher or similar role preferred
- Knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans and specifications
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
- Experience with hand and power tools used in concrete work
- Reliable transportation and ability to report to job sites as scheduled
- OSHA 10 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
