Job Responsibilities

• Grade, set up, pour, and finish concrete for commercial construction projects
• Construct and install forms for floors, sidewalks, curbs, stairs, and structural concrete
• Verify elevations using lasers, string lines, and layout tools
• Install rebar, wire mesh, expansion joints, and embedded materials
• Spread, level, screed, and finish concrete using hand and power tools
• Operate hand trowels, power trowels, riding trowels, floats, screeds, and related equipment
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures prior to concrete curing
• Monitor weather and site conditions to ensure proper concrete placement and finishing
• Operate and work around skid steers and other construction equipment
• Read and follow project specifications and construction plans
• Maintain compliance with all site safety requirements and PPE standards
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to complete projects on schedule

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Concrete Finisher or Form Carpenter
• Commercial construction experience preferred
• Experience grading, pouring, screeding, troweling, and finishing concrete
• Experience building and setting concrete forms
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Experience reading grades, elevations, and layout measurements
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Ability to work on ladders and at varying elevations
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial concrete construction experience
• Rough and finish carpentry experience
• Masonry experience
• Experience operating skid steers or similar construction equipment
• Familiarity with laser levels, robotic layout systems, and string lines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Safety-focused mindset

Work Environment

• Commercial construction job sites throughout the Pittsburgh area
• Monday-Friday daylight schedule
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday work available
• Year-round outdoor work
• Fast-paced construction environment around heavy equipment and machinery

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Trafford, PA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
