Venteon Finance is currently seeking a CONTROLLER for a growing Real Estate related client in Oakland County

REQUIREMENTS for the Controller role 

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting 

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Real Estate or Property Management related experience highly preferred

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Prior supervisory experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Controller role 

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for communities and corporate entities

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and property management reporting standards

• Own and manage the Profit & Loss statements for each entity

• Monitor revenues, expenses, and net operating income, providing variance analysis and actionable insights

• Provide financial forecasting and variance analysis to ownership and property management leadership

• Develop cash flow models to support acquisitions, dispositions, and refinancing opportunities

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency

• Provide timely financial analysis to support operational decision-making

• Other Duties as assigned
