Job Description
Duration: 3+ months (with possible extensions)
Work Setting: Hybrid Onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays (Austin, TX)
Required Qualifications:
- Must be available to work onsite in Austin, TX on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 5+ years of experience with ITIL configuration management principles and best practices.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining configuration management processes and policies.
- 5+ years of experience with CMDB platforms such as BMC Helix, ServiceNow, or Atlassian.
- 4+ years of experience in performing configuration audits for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- 4+ years of experience verifying and auditing Configuration Items (CIs) against specifications.
- 3 5 years of experience as a Configuration Manager or similar ITSM leadership role.
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and evaluate business systems and user requirements.
- Align system configurations with overall business strategies.
- Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring accuracy of all Configuration Items (CIs).
- Develop and maintain the Configuration Management Plan (CMP).
- Coordinate with IT teams to implement and enforce configuration management practices.
- Define and manage configuration identifications and change control.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure alignment with HHS agency policies and standards.
