Position Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on Construction Accounting Manager to manage daily financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This role is key to maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial visibility across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions
Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation
Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions
Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams
Improve processes through financial and construction software tools
Qualifications:
5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry
Proficient in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar
Experience with Procore or other project management tools
Strong background in job costing and AIA billing
Sales tax compliance experience is a plus
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
