The Construction Accounting Manager will lead the accounting department and support executive leadership with company financials. Responsibilities include ensuring consistent corporate financial strategy through a range of avenues such as managing and allocating accounts, financial statements, spreadsheets, AIA documents, schedule of values, and tax data. The role also serves as the point of contact for banks, auditors, tax authorities, and accountants.Additional responsibilities will focus on billings and certified payroll for our subcontractors. The position requires someone detail-oriented, organized, able to multi-task or switch gears at a moment's notice, excels at time management, and enjoys going the extra mile to help people.Key Job Responsibilities Review and obtain approval for expense reimbursement invoices.Contact subcontractors about missing/invalid lien waivers and/or expired/invalid insurance certificatesApply construction Accounting & Job Cost ExperienceUpdate and maintain Subcontractor/Supplier Insurance information in Trimble and SharePointRecord Notice to Owner information into TrimbleAssist with check runs; match vendor invoices to checksMatch and process vendor invoices with backup and process invoices into Trimble and SharePointVerify subcontractors' insurance coverage (limits, expiration date, additional insured, etc.) before releasing payments.Process Change Orders in conjunction with Project Management teamProcess Pay Applications using AIA format with Project Management teamEnsure subcontractors and suppliers have provided all necessary lien waivers prior to releasing subcontractors' paymentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, to define project scope and objectives.Assist in setting up and managing business lines of creditMaintain accurate records in accordance with company standardsPerform month-end reconciliation of bank and credit card accountsOversee Accounting, Bookkeeping, Payroll, Budget forecastingManage and process accounts receivable and payables, lien waivers & pay applicationsPrepare monthly and quarterly financial reportsAssist in creating and updating of the Work-In-Progress (WIP) ScheduleEnsure government compliance in all tasksClose books and prepare month-end financialsPrepare books for Quarterly Review Financials by a 3rd Party CPAPrepare year- end financial reports and schedules for auditorsOversee tax reporting and compliance, ensuring full accounting and financial reporting.Develop and maintain internal reporting calendarConduct financial statement audits, in conjunction with outside CPA firmReview accounting steps with Executive Leadership and assist in creating a Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Perform additional responsibilities as requiredQualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
