Construction Company Controller (Relocation to Columbia, MO)

Based in Southeast Missouri around Cape Girardeau and ready to step into a top finance seat? An established construction company headquartered in Columbia, Missouri is looking for a Controller to oversee accounting and finance for the company and its subsidiaries. This is a hands-on leadership role reporting into ownership and senior leadership, and it requires a move to Columbia.

Pay: $150,000 - $200,000+ per year in base salary, with a bonus of up to 30%.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and oversight of company investments
• Produce the monthly WIP schedule and dig into over/under billing positions
• Prepare and deliver board-level financial reviews to ownership and executive leadership
• Handle consolidations and intercompany accounting for each subsidiary
• Manage percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and job billing
• Keep the monthly close on schedule and reporting accurate across all entities

Requirements:

• Must be willing to relocate to Columbia, MO
• Proven Controller or senior accounting leadership experience in the construction industry
• Hands-on expertise with percentage-of-completion billing and WIP reporting
• Experience consolidating financials across subsidiaries in a multi-entity structure
• Comfort managing cash flow and overseeing investments
• Poise presenting financial results and reviews to a board
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
