Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Construction Contract Administrators to join our team. This is a hands-on position focused on construction contract administration, working closely with contractors, owners, principals, and project teams throughout the construction process.
This is not a clerk's position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the field, wearing a hard hat and boots, and working directly with contractors on active construction sites.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Manage and administer construction contracts throughout the construction process
Review and understand construction documents and contract requirements
Work directly with contractors, owners, and project teams
Monitor construction progress and help ensure projects are being executed according to contract documents
Apply knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and assemblies
Review construction-related documentation and assist with project administration
Collaborate with principals and project teams to address construction issues
Help maintain the firm's standards and reputation throughout the construction process
Travel throughout the North Carolina and South Carolina region as needed
Work in active construction environments and meet the physical demands associated with construction site visits
Required Qualifications
15–25 years of professional experience in construction contract administration or a related architectural/construction role
Strong understanding of construction documents
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and assemblies
Understanding of Owner/Contractor agreements
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability and willingness to travel throughout North Carolina and South Carolina
Ability to work comfortably and safely on active construction sites
