Construction Controller | Columbia, MO

A well-established construction group based in Columbia, Missouri is looking for a Controller to lead accounting and finance for the company and all of its subsidiaries. You'll work closely with ownership and senior leadership in a highly visible role. Local candidates and those willing to relocate to Columbia are both encouraged to apply; relocation assistance is available for the right person.

Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000+ per year, plus a bonus of up to 30%.

Responsibilities:

• Own work-in-progress reporting and review over/under billings every period
• Drive an on-time month-end close with accurate reporting across multiple entities
• Oversee percentage-of-completion revenue recognition and progress billing
• Manage consolidations and intercompany activity for every subsidiary
• Build and deliver board-level financial reviews for ownership and senior leadership
• Direct cash flow forecasting, liquidity, and investment activity

Requirements:

• Track record as a Controller or senior accounting leader in construction
• Deep knowledge of WIP reporting and percentage-of-completion billing
• Hands-on multi-entity accounting and subsidiary consolidation experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• Experience overseeing investments and cash flow
• Skill at preparing clear, polished financial reviews for a board
