Description
A Demolition & Restoration Services Worker is responsible for assisting with the safe demolition, cleanup, and restoration of residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role involves removing damaged materials, preparing job sites for reconstruction, and supporting restoration efforts following water, fire, storm, or mold damage.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform selective and structural demolition using hand and power tools.
Remove debris and dispose of materials safely.
Load and unload construction materials and equipment.
Assist with water extraction, drying, and moisture control.
Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, and other building materials.
Perform mold and fire damage cleanup following safety procedures.
Clean and prepare work areas for restoration and reconstruction.
Assist with basic repairs, including drywall, painting, flooring, and finish work.
Operate demolition and restoration equipment safely.
Follow OSHA safety standards and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
Work effectively as part of a team while meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications:
Previous demolition, restoration, construction, or general labor experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
OSHA certification is a plus but not required.
