Midwest multi-disciplined engineering firm is looking to add a Construction Engineer to their Chicago Team!
Responsibilities:
Serveas a liaison with contractor
Conducton-site observation as needed
Coordinateconstruction activities
Maintainjob site records (daily reports, job meeting minutes, approval drawings, and/orpay requests)
Observe/documentconstruction activities and maintain a daily log of construction activities
Monitorprogress schedule/shop drawing log
Reviewpay requests/verify completed work
Perform general civilengineering and client service duties
Requirements:
B.S. degree inCivil/Construction Engineering from an accredited program with an emphasis on constructionengineering
5+ years of progressiveexperience
PE License orability to obtain within one year preferred
Past IDOT orIllinois Tollway project experience
Construction experiencewith Chicago DOT/Metra preferred
Experience withIDOT/Tollway construction management software preferred
Salaryis commensurate with experience.
