Job Description
In support of our client, a multidisciplinary engineering firm, ResourceTek has immediate openings for a CEI Inspector to perform technical assignments including inspection of roadway and bridge construction activities; oversight of contractor daily operations; performing materials sampling and verification testing; plans reading; field surveying and construction engineering computations. Monitor construction progress, verify work completed and assist with construction pay estimates and senior inspector responsibilities. These are direct hire opportunities with our client located in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction work
- Conduct field tests
- Assist Senior Inspector
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in construction inspection or roadway and / or bridge construction preferred
Ideal candidate shall possess the following Qualifications/Certifications:
- OSHA 10 Safety Training Construction (All field personnel)
- TDOT:
o Asphalt Roadway Paving Inspector
o Class 1 Concrete Technician
o Asphalt Plant Tech Certification
o Soils and Aggregate Technician
- TDEC:
o EPSC Level 1 - For inspectors conducting EPSC inspection
o EPSC Level 2 - For supervisors of EPSC inspection
o Nuclear Gauge Training
o Work Zone Traffic Control and Flagger
(Candidates that possess some, but not all, of the above are eligible for employment consideration provided said certifications can be obtained within six months)
