We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a thorough understanding of the construction process. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates

- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates

- Analyze project scope and identify potential risks and opportunities

- Prepare detailed material and labor cost breakdowns for each project

- Use industry-standard software and tools to create and manage estimates

- Present estimates to clients and address any questions or concerns

- Continuously monitor and adjust estimates throughout the project lifecycle

- Keep track of industry trends and changes in material and labor costs to ensure accuracy of estimates

- Participate in bid meetings and negotiations with clients and subcontractors

- Assist in developing project budgets and schedules

- Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure a smooth and successful project execution

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating

- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs

- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or PlanSwift

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
