Job Description
Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, conceptual estimates, and competitive bid proposals. Analyze drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other project documents. Develop accurate cost estimates for tilt-wall, warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and light industrial construction projects. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Participate in bid reviews, scope analysis, and value engineering efforts. Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions during preconstruction. Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, and Owners throughout the estimating process. Prepare conceptual budgets during early design and preconstruction phases. Review subcontractor proposals to ensure complete scope coverage. Assist with project turnover and handoff to operations teams upon award. Track market pricing, material costs, and labor trends. Support business development efforts through client presentations and preconstruction meetings.

The Successful Applicant
3+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction. Proven experience estimating tilt-wall and/or ground-up light industrial projects required. Strong understanding of construction means and methods. Ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis. Experience soliciting and leveling subcontractor bids. Proficiency with estimating software and construction management technology. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
