CAFCO Group is seeking energetic, talented and technology savvy people with a primary focus on performing construction inspection activities on multiple NYC School Construction projects throughout the borough of Queens NY.
Responsibilities
Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications.
Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance
Tracks quality assurance progress
Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.
Review plans to identify potential violations
Document inspections and report any issues daily
Determine the quality of materials being used throughout the testing.
Qualifications / Requirements
Associates Degree in engineering or construction management
6+ years of experience in building construction trades including inspection of site/civil work
flexible schedule: availability to work nights and weekends as needed.
NICET certifications or equivalent or ASCE grade
Blueprint reading is a must
Knowledge of construction materials, methods and procedures
Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Strong written and oral communication skills
Collaborate with multiple team members
Ability and coordination to safely maneuver around a construction site.
