Construction Inspector (Remote Site Locations)

GPI is seeking Construction Inspectors to provide construction inspection services on various Road & Bridge Construction projects throughout the state of New Jersey for NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, NJ Transit, DRPA & County projects. For more information, visit: www.gpinet.com Responsibilities: Assisting the project Resident Engineer with project administration.Complete daily reports, quantity calculations, and reports for construction work observed.Perform daily construction inspection of work activities, which may include the following: Collection of materials samples.Field testing and sampling of concrete in accordance with ASTM standard procedures.Utilize field testing equipment to conduct in-place density tests of asphalt and/or soil Qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalentMust have a valid drivers licensePrior experience in performing construction inspectionMust be physically capable and willing to work outdoors Work Contractor hours, may include nights and weekendsOne or more of the following current certificationsAmerican Concrete Institute (ACI) Concrete Field-Testing Technician and/or Concrete Construction Technology / Special InspectorNJSAT Asphalt Technician Certification (preferred)Rutgers TCC (Traffic Control Coordinator) Certification (preferred)Hot Mix Asphalt Density Testing Inspector / NETTCP HMA Plant TechnicianNICET Highway Construction Inspection/Concrete/Asphalt/SoilsOSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety and Health Training
