Construction Inspector

Summary: Primary responsibilities will consist of safe, and effective oversight of construction projects related to repair and rehabilitation of water/wastewater treatment and collection systems. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and support the management of construction projects, including but not limited to: Pre-Construction Design Review, Bid Advertising, Bid Review and Recommendation, Partnering Agreements, Requests for Information Response, Pay Application Processing, On-Site Inspection, Change Order Processing, In Place Quantity Measuring, Final Walk-through/Punch-list, Project Closeout, As-Built Preparation, and Facility Startup.
• Document daily construction activities.
• Maintain daily inspection logs and weekly reports.
• Measurement and tracking of materials, labor, and work completed.
• Payment application review.
• Assist engineer in responding to work claims and change orders.
• As-built documentation, monitoring of contractor scheduling, and assistance with municipal permit.
• Liaison with engineer, contractor(s), government agencies, and municipality
• Adhere to all the safety requirements of the position while assisting team members to do the same.
• All other duties as assigned.
