Construction Laborer-Maui

PRINCIPAL DUTIES1. General laborer work as required.2. Reads plans and installs products in accordance with project specifications.3. Drives and operates trucks and equipment as required.4. Removes and installs striping pavement markings fencing guardrail posts and signs.5. Loads and unloads tools equipment and materials from equipment and storage areas.6. Assists in maintaining and securing jobsites facility and equipment.7. Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.8. Coordinate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.9. Keep accurate records of work performed materials used and any observations regarding the condition of equipment and materials.10. Communicate professionally with contractors and clients.11. Candidates may be required to lift varying weights as required for the role.12. Performed other duties as assigned.PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTSHigh school graduate or equivalent preferred.CDL Class B with air brake endorsement or greater or must have permit and obtain license within 90 days of hire.Favorable driver history record and valid drivers license required.Mechanical ability and knowledge of tools.One year of road construction experience preferred.Forklift certification preferred.Basic math and verbalwritten communication skills required.Ability to read and understand job specifications and written instructions.Able to work flexible hours including evenings weekends holidays overtime and possible occasional work on the neighbor islands.We primarily employ carpenters laborers and operating engineers. We are signatory to collective bargaining agreements with the following unions listed below and are subject to the hiring rules of each collective bargaining agreement. We anticipate hiring for projects on Oahu Maui Hawaii and Kauai as work becomes available and will be contacting the respective union to fill these positionsLaborers International Union of North America Local 368This is a union position.
