Construction Manager 3

Our client is seeking a Construction Manager 3 to join their team as an Early Works On-Site Project Lead for a hybrid project in Manassas, Virginia. As a Construction Manager 3, you will oversee pre-construction execution for the Groundwater Treatment Facility Relocation General Contractor, combining construction project management with on-site safety advisory responsibilities. The ideal candidate will bring strong stakeholder communication, a process-minded approach to planning and reporting, and a safety-first mindset that helps drive high-quality, compliant field execution.

What's the Job?

• Oversee day-to-day onsite activities for the Groundwater Treatment Facility Relocation, including coordination of civil specialties such as site earthworks and subsurface infrastructure work.
• Serve as the project single point of contact for Land Development pre-construction, communicating delivery status, progress, and key updates to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Manage and refine short- and long-range plans to drive project delivery, including schedule control, milestone tracking, and coordination of contiguous trades.
• Implement and monitor safety programs and ensure safe worksite practices are observed and adhered to at all times, including oversight of High-Risk Activities (HRA) such as excavations, mobile equipment, vehicle traffic, lifting, electrical work, and working from heights.
• Support regulatory and stakeholder engagement activities by coordinating with environmental consultants, contractors, and agencies as needed to maintain compliance and progress.

What's Needed?

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a role with relevant construction Health & Safety experience, including contractor communications and field oversight.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with extensive experience liaising with design teams, contractors, and project professionals.
• Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams.
• Basic qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of related experience (or equivalent experience).
