Construction Manager

Weaver Consultants Group is looking to add a Construction Manager to our team! The Construction Manager will serve as a part of the Solid Waste CQA management team in the Southwest Practice Group. This role includes providing field work coverage as necessary and appropriate.

Responsibilities:

• Supervision and performance of construction quality assurance and construction quality control activities in several states, including the construction of landfill components including compacted soil liners, membrane liners, leachate and gas management systems, and other environmental control systems.
• Daily direct supervision of a team of engineering technicians working in various states.
• Collaboration and coordination with senior staff and management and direction of designated support staff for construction documentation reports.
• Assist the project manager with finalizing field project data for certification reports.
• Will require travel to cover field staff PTO's, field visits and potentially the start/ending portions of projects.
• Must be readily accessible to address emergencies as they arise with the project team.
• Coordinate field equipment with field staff on a project specific basis.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years' minimum experience in construction. With nuclear density gauge experience preferred.
• Ability to understand contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Ability to be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to be decisive and work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays.
• Ability to coordinate several major activities at once while analyzing and resolving specific problems.
• Must be familiar with computers and software programs for online collaboration and scheduling.
• Good oral and written communication and leadership skills. Must be able to establish a good working relationship with many different people, including owners, other managers, designers, supervisors, and field staff.
