As a high-growth firm, Wilson Engineers offers the opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects alongside a talented and passionate team. We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Las Veas, Nevada office.
 
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team working in the Las Vegas area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Act as Liaison or Main Contact / Coordinator with Client (City/Owner) and Contractor during construction projects
  • Reviews project plans, requirements and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project 
  •  Facilitate Progress/Owner Meetings
  •  Prepare Meeting Minutes and distribute to Project Team 
  •  Interpret and provide recommendations for the Prime Contract between Contractor and City/Owner
  •  Oversee Construction Contract Budget, Review Schedule of Values and Payment Applications submitted by Contractor 
  •  Review Contractor’s Schedules / Provide Comments to Contractor and City/Owner 
  •  Review Cost Proposals from the Contractor / Provide recommendations to City/Owner.  
  •  Perform inspections of work performed by the Contractor.  Take photographs and 
  • prepare daily reports documenting work activities performed and whether they comply with project requirements
  •  Coordinate materials testing firms as required, receive and review results to confirm they meet specifications
  •  Prepare project punch lists, review contractor redlines, and prepare project close out documents

Requirements


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering. 
  •  A Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is preferred.
  •  Applicable experience of 4-8 years working in the construction industry, preferably as a Construction Manager, Field Engineer, Civil Construction Inspector, or similar may be substituted for the degree requirement
  •  Knowledge of construction means & methods and quality control measures, along with knowledge and experience in water/wastewater construction is a plus 
  •  Proactive and self-motivated individual, able to meet challenging time constraints
  •  Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook software 
  •  Familiar with Microsoft Project and P6 Scheduling software a plus
