The Opportunity

The Superintendent provides operational leadership and oversight for the construction department, ensuring quality homes are built on time, on budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. This role owns the day to day execution of home construction, from scheduling and trade partner management to safety and quality standards, and works across departments including Purchasing, Sales, and Warranty to make sure every home meets or exceeds company standards.

Superintendents who perform well will gain increased responsibility as the company expands into new communities and nearby markets.

What You'll Do

• Provide operational leadership and direction for the construction department
• Oversee vertical construction of communities, including scheduling, management of internal tasks, trade partner relationships, safety, quality standards, and customer satisfaction
• Coordinate with the Purchasing Director to ensure adequate sourcing of materials and trade partners to meet project scope
• Work with the Sales Manager and Warranty team to ensure every home meets or exceeds company quality standards and customers are satisfied

What You Bring

• Previous homebuilding experience required
• Demonstrated experience building in a fast paced, high volume environment
• Understanding of building elevations and grading plans
• Knowledge of the residential homebuilding process
• A track record of driving business results and achieving performance goals
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with close attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced, changing environment
• Effective problem solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization
• Ability to read and interpret building codes, construction drawings, and purchase orders
• Comfortable using standard computer software and tools
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple job sites is required

Physical Requirements

This role is based primarily on active job sites and requires regularly walking construction sites, including uneven or unfinished terrain, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
