About this Position:
Green Powered Technology (GPTech) is preparing a response to a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) opportunity focused on improving the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and delivery of healthcare facility design and construction nationwide.
GPTech is seeking a highly qualified Construction Manager to support this proposal and potential follow-on work.
Key Responsibilities
Provide on-site construction management support to the VA COR, monitoring construction activities for compliance with contract documents, codes, and VA standards
Perform daily inspections and reporting, documenting progress, deficiencies, safety concerns, and non-conforming work
Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and contractor documentation, ensuring alignment with specifications and project requirements
Monitor and analyze construction schedules, identifying delays, risks, and impacts to milestone completion
Coordinate and support testing, inspections, and commissioning activities, ensuring required processes are completed
Support as-built documentation, including field verification and coordination of updates
Assist in identifying and resolving construction issues, providing technical recommendations to support Government decisions
Support change order and claims analysis, including review of cost proposals and schedule impacts
Participate in and support project meetings, providing field-based input on constructability and sequencing
Assist in project closeout, including punch list management, final inspections, and documentation review
Required Qualifications (Senior Emphasis)
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
8+ years of construction management or field inspection experience
Demonstrated experience on healthcare, institutional, or federal construction projects
Advanced knowledge of:
Construction methods, materials, and sequencing
Submittal and RFI processes
Quality control and inspection practices
Experience reviewing:
Strong documentation and reporting capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain per contract requirements)
Experience with VA, DoD, or USACE construction projects
Experience in commissioning support and testing/inspection coordination
Familiarity with scheduling tools (Primavera P6 or equivalent)
Experience supporting claims analysis or dispute resolution documentation
Experience working in occupied healthcare environments
Active or prior U.S. security clearance
Experience in owner’s representative or independent oversight roles
Experience with DoD, USACE, or DOS/OBO construction projects
International project experience (e.g., USAID, MDBs)
