What You Will Do

As a Construction Materials Field Supervisor you will oversee a dedicated team of construction materials testing professionals managing daily operations across multiple project sites. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring project success through top-notch testing services fostering strong client relationships and enhancing operational efficiency. You will balance team management with personal project contributions ensuring quality safety and efficiency. Your leadership will be key in client coordination managing multiple projects concurrently and upholding the highest safety standards.

Direction and Scheduling

Provide supervision and oversight to field staff organize schedules with clients and contractors and manage personnel for field assignments.

Coordination

Frequently coordinate with Services Managers and Project Managers on the progress of current and upcoming projects.

Training and Certifications

Train staff on field testing and inspections oversee certification opportunities and maintain a summary of current employee certifications.

Safety

Lead safety efforts for field staff conduct regular safety meetings and coach staff on the use of PPE and safety protocols.

Equipment and Quality

Ensure staff have appropriate testing equipment assist with equipment maintenance and calibration and support the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or GED Bachelors degree in Civil Structural or Geotechnical engineering or a construction-related field is a plus

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction materials testinginspecting of soil concrete masonry andor asphalt Experience in a supervisory or management role

Certifications

Active Construction Materials industry certifications such as American Concrete Institute ACI Field Testing Grade I Strength Testing Technician Laboratory Technician andor International Code Council ICC Special Inspector Reinforced Concrete Masonry Soils a plus

Key Competencies

Strong communication skills speaking reading and writing using the English language

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments and with Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment PPE youll need to be comfortable with Working outdoors in varying weather conditions Walking over rough uneven terrain and standing potentially up to 12 hours a day Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs fieldlaboratory samples and equipment Working outside of normal business hours and traveling typically out-of-town andor overnight as project needs arise
