Job Description
Oversee daily construction activities on medical project sites to keep work moving according to plan. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel to support timely project delivery. Monitor project schedules and address site issues that may affect planned work. Review completed work for alignment with project plans and quality expectations. Maintain a safe jobsite by reinforcing site safety practices with project teams. Communicate project updates, progress, and site needs with construction stakeholders. Track site materials and equipment needs to help prevent delays in field operations. Document daily site activity, progress, and key project updates.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Construction - Medical Superintendent should have: Familiarity with ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment) protocols. Experience managing construction within occupied healthcare facilities. Experience coordinating phased renovations while maintaining facility operations. Ability to successfully manage construction activities in sensitive, occupied environments while demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and respect for building occupants, visitors, and staff. Experience overseeing construction work on active project sites. Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field teams. Ability to manage daily site activities and maintain project schedules. Knowledge of construction drawings, site plans, and project documentation. Ability to identify field issues and communicate practical solutions. Experience maintaining jobsite safety practices.
