Construction MEP Superintendent | NYC
Our client is a well-established MEP contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems throughout New York City. With a diverse portfolio spanning commercial, healthcare, data center, life sciences, and institutional projects, they are known for technical excellence, safety, and long-term client relationships.
As a Construction MEP Superintendent | NYC you will:
- Oversee all onsite MEP construction activities from rough-in through commissioning and turnover.
- Coordinate field labor, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
- Lead daily site operations, logistics planning, and trade coordination meetings.
- Review drawings, resolve field conflicts, and coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and design teams.
- Monitor quality control, productivity, and safety performance.
- Track manpower requirements and maintain progress reporting.
- Ensure successful testing, commissioning, and closeout of MEP systems.

A successful Construction MEP Superintendent | NYC should have:
- 5+ years of Superintendent or MEP field leadership experience.
- Strong background managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes on commercial construction projects.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades in occupied or active construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Strong leadership, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with NYC construction practices, site safety requirements, and building systems.
- OSHA certifications and additional safety training preferred.
