Construction Pipefitter

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Pipefitter to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration systems, with a focus on piping, equipment setup, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Expertise in refrigeration piping and fixture setting.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Work with all levels of employees throughout the company.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of commercial installation of refrigeration systems.
• Electrical, plumbing, HVAC knowledge.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment and tools of the trade.
• Have proper brazing technique.
• Able to do overhead line sets.
• Able to do case lineup, pipe and layout drains.
• Able to demo walk-in, install new, hang, pipe, drain evaporator coils.
• Able to work independently.
• Good mechanical skills and use of hand and power tools.
• Safe work practices and safety rule compliance.
• Ability to be flexible; working days, nights, and out of town.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of proven pipefitting experience, ideally in commercial refrigeration.
• Proficient in blueprint reading and technical specifications interpretation.
• Skills in welding, brazing, soldering, and mechanical joining.
• Strong understanding of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials for commercial refrigeration.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in varied environments, including confined spaces and heights.
• Availability for out-of-town work with night shifts (weekends off).
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Education: High School Diploma or GED and or combination equivalent of education.

Physical Work Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee will be required to stand and walk frequently. The employees will travel to jobsites. Employees will be required to use a ladder or equipment to reach heights to assist and inspect completed work. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
