HDR is providing PM/CM services for the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project. The project will deliver critical improvements to the roadways, streets, and thoroughfares in and around the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus. HDR will assist with the management of projects throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction phases, from inception to closeout. HDR is proud to lead a strong team of world-class professionals to sculpt this project that is a key part of the infrastructure transformation ahead of the 2028 Olympics and will serve millions of travelers and Angelenos for decades to come.
In the role of Construction Project Engineer, we'll count on you to:
Construction Administration & Contract Compliance
Document Control, Reporting & Pay Applications
Meeting Support & Project Coordination
Schedule Awareness & Look-Ahead Review
Claims & Dispute Support
Support the Construction Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Project Controls Manager with research, documentation review, and fact-finding related to contractor disputes and claims.
Assist in development of fact-finding reports, chronologies, and Owner position papers to support dispute resolution and claims avoidance.
Maintain organized and complete records to support negotiations and issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Caltrans and/or City of Los Angeles projects.
Familiarity with Progressive Design-Build, Design-Build, and/or CMGC delivery methods.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification
Ability to interpret construction schedules
Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer
