Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity with our client in Conshohocken, PA or Wallingford, CT. This position will support EPC Project Managers and Program Managers in overseeing construction projects from pre-construction through completion, closeout, and warranty periods.

The Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing project safety, quality, scheduling, budgets, subcontractors, contracts, field operations, and client relationships. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction management experience, strong leadership skills, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

• Manage construction projects across EPC, Construction Management, and Program Management environments.

• Lead project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost control, forecasting, and resource allocation.

• Develop and implement project execution plans, including construction strategies, safety programs, quality assurance, staffing, procurement, and subcontracting.

• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and construction teams to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

• Coordinate construction activities with engineering teams, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

• Oversee contract administration, including subcontract negotiations, change orders, RFIs, submittals, claims mitigation, and project closeout.

• Manage subcontractor bidding processes, including RFP development, bid evaluations, contractor selection, and contract awards.

• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, cash flow forecasts, invoicing, earned value, and cost reporting.

• Conduct project risk assessments, safety audits, quality inspections, and progress reviews.

• Oversee site mobilization, construction logistics, equipment management, materials procurement, and inventory control.

• Ensure required permits, insurance, licensing, bonding, and regulatory requirements are maintained.

• Coordinate commissioning, startup, project turnover, warranty administration, and final documentation.

• Develop construction staffing plans and oversee craft labor, field supervision, workforce productivity, and equipment utilization.

• Manage labor costs, productivity metrics, craft classifications, and construction installation rates.

• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate project progress, risks, and financial performance to management.

• Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to construction personnel and junior project managers.

• Support labor relations, building trades coordination, and project labor agreements as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant project management experience within the construction industry.

• Strong knowledge of construction project execution, scheduling, estimating, cost control, and contract administration.

• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, construction personnel, and field operations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and construction financial management.

• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Must meet company driving requirements.
