McCulloh Consulting is hiring for a Construction Project Manager opportunity in the Portland, OR area.<\/span>
<\/p>

This role is ideal for a commercial construction professional who can lead projects from start to finish, manage schedules and budgets, coordinate subcontractors, communicate with clients, and keep project teams on track.<\/span>

We are looking for someone who is organized, steady under pressure, comfortable leading meetings, and able to solve problems before they impact cost, schedule, quality, or safety.<\/span>

What You Will Do<\/span><\/span>
<\/h2>

Manage commercial construction projects from planning through closeout<\/span>
<\/p>

Serve as a main point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and internal project teams<\/span>
<\/p>

Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, plan sets, and project documents<\/span>
<\/p>

Build and maintain project schedules and budgets<\/span>
<\/p>

Estimate construction management and self -perform work items<\/span>
<\/p>

Review, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors<\/span>
<\/p>

Prepare project proposals, clarifications, alternates, and value engineering options<\/span>
<\/p>

Support owner contract negotiations with senior project leadership<\/span>
<\/p>

Review and process subcontracts, subcontractor change orders, RFIs, submittals, change proposals, and owner change orders<\/span>
<\/p>

Lead onsite meetings and prepare clear project meeting minutes<\/span>
<\/p>

Identify project risks, field issues, delays, cost impacts, and safety concerns early<\/span>
<\/p>

Prepare client billings, review subcontractor payments, and submit cost projections<\/span>
<\/p>

Support quality control, punch list, and project closeout<\/span>
<\/p>

Supervise, train, assign work, and support Project Engineers<\/span>

Work Environment<\/b><\/span>

This is an on -site role based in Dallas, Texas. The position includes regular interaction with office teams, clients, subcontractors, and active construction jobsites.<\/span>
<\/p>

The role may require sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, visiting active jobsites, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

  • 3 to 5 years of commercial construction experience or an equivalent mix of education and field experience<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/span><\/h2>
    • Experience managing schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, cost projections, billings, and closeout<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, terminology, equipment, and project flow<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, plan sets, and project documents<\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and internal leadership
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Ability to lead meetings, resolve conflicts, make decisions, and keep people aligned<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Strong cost management, risk management, organization, and follow -through<\/span><\/span>
