We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Coordinator to support large-scale telecom infrastructure projects, including fiber and coax builds. This role is responsible for managing the full job lifecycle, tracking milestones, coordinating across cross-functional teams, and ensuring quality control and project closeout. This position plays a critical role in keeping projects on track, supporting builds spanning 10–15 miles over multi-month durations, and ensuring alignment across operations, design, and field teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES Project & Milestone Management
Create and manage jobs within systems such as JT/Polaris
Track projects through the full lifecycle from initiation to closeout
Update and manage project milestones, ensuring SLA adherence
Identify and resolve lifecycle exceptions and delays
Perform job reconciliation and ensure accurate project tracking
Cross-Functional Coordination
Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams including BOC, CPM, FPM, Sales, and field operations
Facilitate communication between design, construction, and business teams
Provide reporting and updates to leadership on project status and risks
Financial & Resource Management
Support job estimates, funding requests, and purchase orders
Track and reconcile materials and labor costs
Review contracts, scopes of work (SOW), and resource requirements
Ensure proper allocation of funding and adherence to budget guidelines
Quality Control & Compliance
Manage administrative and field quality control workflows
Verify completion of required documentation (permits, invoices, photos, materials)
Ensure all milestones are properly closed before job completion
Collaborate with permit coordinators and specialists to resolve outstanding items
Validate that field QC activities meet required standards
Field & Design Support
Interpret and work with construction design maps and plans
Conduct occasional field visits to validate project progress and quality
Support troubleshooting and ensure alignment between design and execution
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience in telecom construction, project coordination, or OSP environments
Experience with fiber and/or coaxial cable projects (both preferred)
Strong understanding of project lifecycle and milestone tracking
Ability to read and interpret construction/design maps
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with job tracking or workflow tools (JT/Polaris or similar systems)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
