Construction Superintendent – Healthcare Projects

Location: Lansing, Michigan

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 annually

Position Summary

Reliance One is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead healthcare construction and renovation projects throughout the Lansing and Grand Rapids areas. This position will oversee jobsite operations, schedules, subcontractors, safety, quality, inspections, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, drawings, schedules, and project requirements with the Project Manager
• Create site-specific plans and establish the jobsite and temporary office
• Coordinate material deliveries, staging, subcontractors, and trade schedules
• Develop and maintain project schedules and weekly look-ahead plans
• Lead progress and pre-construction meetings
• Track daily activities, photographs, drawings, expenses, and project updates in Procore
• Follow up on RFIs and assist with schedule recovery
• Maintain quality standards and resolve subcontractor issues
• Lead jobsite safety training, inspections, reporting, and compliance
• Coordinate building officials, inspections, project closeout, and punch lists
• Maintain strong client relationships and a professional project environment

Qualifications

• At least five years of experience with hospital, medical office, and occupied-hospital renovation projects
• At least five years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Experience coordinating 7–15 concurrent trade contractors and projects involving up to 120 workers
• Knowledge of anterooms, PCRA, RF shielding, and positive and negative air pressure preferred
• ASHE CHC certification or willingness to become certified
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Willingness to work throughout the Lansing and Grand Rapids areas
• Valid driver’s license
