About the Role:Allied Water Services is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead underground utility projects out of our Manteno, IL location. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive projects from groundbreaking to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way. Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day field operations for underground utility construction projects including water, sewer, and storm drain systems
- Coordinate subcontractors, crews, and equipment to maintain project schedules and budgets
- Enforce strict jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Interpret and work from construction drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control and workmanship standards are met
- Communicate project status, issues, and updates to project managers and stakeholders
- Manage material procurement, deliveries, and on-site inventory to minimize downtime
Requirements:- 4+ years of experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction
- Proven experience in a superintendent or field leadership role
- Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and utility installation methods and best practices
- OSHA 30 certification preferred; trenching and excavation safety knowledge required
- Ability to read and interpret civil/construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and crew management skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; reliable transportation to Manteno, IL area jobsites
