Job Summary:
As a Construction Surveillance Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and overseeing the construction activities at a data center facility to ensure compliance with security protocols, construction standards, and project specifications. You will work closely with the construction team, security personnel, and project managers to maintain the integrity and security of the site throughout the construction process.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct continuous surveillance of the construction site to ensure adherence to security protocols and construction standards.
- Monitor and control access to the construction site, ensuring that only authorized personnel are allowed entry.
- Verify that construction activities comply with established plans, specifications, and security requirements.
- Identify and report any security breaches, safety violations, or non-compliance issues to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain detailed logs and records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Coordinate with construction managers, security personnel, and other stakeholders to address and resolve any security or compliance issues.
- Perform regular inspections of the construction site to ensure that all work meets quality and security standards.
- Provide regular updates and reports to project managers and other relevant parties on the status of construction activities and any identified issues.
- Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required; must provide a valid U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) or in a related construction security role
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications related to construction, security, or surveillance preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting construction site security, surveillance, or access control activities
- Familiarity with data center construction environments, processes, or standards preferred
- Working knowledge of construction site security protocols, safety requirements, and best practices
- Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Proficiency with surveillance systems, monitoring equipment, and related technology
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively as part of a team
- Ability to identify, escalate, and help resolve security issues or conflicts in a timely manner
- Understanding of safety, security, and compliance requirements in active construction environments
