Turn Real Projects Into Stories People Want to Watch
Do you enjoy being behind the camera, finding the story in everyday moments, and turning raw footage into videos that keep people watching? At Raising Solutions, you'll have the opportunity to build our content program--not simply fill a social media calendar.
You'll film real projects across Mid-Missouri, capture before-and-after transformations, interview customers and employees, and create short-form videos that help homeowners understand our services and show future employees what makes our team a great place to work. You'll also work directly with owner Kolby Baker to develop founder-led content and bring ideas from concept to published video.
You'll have professional equipment and direct access to leadership. Your work will help shape how a growing company tells its story.
About Raising Solutions
Raising Solutions LLC is a growing Mid-Missouri contractor serving residential and commercial customers in concrete leveling, foundation repair, and basement waterproofing. We're investing in our people, our brand, and the way we communicate the value of our work. We're building a company known for quality service and a team people are proud to join, with a goal of exceeding $10 million in annual revenue.
Why You'll Like This Opportunity
- Creative ownership: Take content from idea and filming through editing, publishing, and organizing the finished assets.
- Variety beyond a desk: Spend time at active job sites capturing projects, people, and customer stories--not just creating posts from an office.
- Direct access to leadership: Collaborate with the owner and help shape the company's voice and content direction.
- The tools to do great work: Use professional cameras, wireless microphones, lighting, a high-performance editing workstation, and production software.
- A portfolio-building role: Create service, recruiting, customer, and founder-led content.
- Room to grow: As the company expands, this role may develop into a broader Creative Director or Marketing Manager position supporting multiple brands and locations.
What You'll Create
Your content will support four main areas:
- Projects and transformations: Show how our services work through job-site footage, demonstrations, educational videos, and before-and-after results.
- Customer stories: Film homeowner testimonials, project walkthroughs, and real customer experiences.
- People and culture: Feature crew members, day-in-the-life videos, employee interviews, equipment, milestones, and career opportunities.
- Founder and brand: Work with Kolby on Q&As, business and industry insights, customer education, and the company's vision.
What You'll Do
Film in the field
- Visit active job sites in Jefferson City, Columbia, and surrounding Mid-Missouri communities.
- Capture concrete leveling, foundation repair, injection, piering, waterproofing, and other projects.
- Film before-and-after results, crew preparation, job-site details, and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Build rapport with technicians, homeowners, and employees so interviews and footage feel natural.
- Capture assets for social channels, our website, and advertising.
Create and publish short-form videos
- Turn raw footage into engaging Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other social content.
- Develop strong openings, clear storytelling, captions, audio, and pacing that hold viewers' attention.
- Spot content opportunities in the field and pitch ideas--not just follow a shot list.
- Test different hooks and formats, learn from performance, and repurpose strong content across platforms.
Create content with the owner
- Coordinate a two-hour content-batching session with Kolby every two weeks.
- Prepare 5-10 questions or discussion topics for each session.
- Direct and film the session, then turn the conversations into multiple short-form videos.
Keep our content organized
- Maintain an organized Google Drive and media library.
- Label and categorize raw footage, B-roll, interviews, photos, and finished videos.
- Upload and organize project footage weekly.
- Prepare and transfer organized footage to our outside advertising agency when needed.
What Success Looks Like
We want someone who can build a consistent content process and deliver quality work with minimal day-to-day direction.
During your first 90 days, you'll work toward:
- Establishing a reliable production routine.
- Building relationships with crews, office staff, and customers.
- Publishing approximately 3-5 quality short-form videos per week.
- Developing repeatable formats for service education, customer stories, company culture, and recruiting.
- Creating a repeatable process for owner sessions and footage organization.
- Building a useful library of photo, video, and B-roll assets.
- Spotting stories and content opportunities independently and delivering work on time.
Quality matters more than hitting a number for its own sake. We would rather publish three strong videos than five rushed or repetitive ones. Content may be shared across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Google Business Profile, and the owner's social accounts.
What We're Looking For
You should have:
- A portfolio, video reel, or social media account that demonstrates your short-form video work.
- Hands-on experience shooting, editing, and publishing videos independently.
- A strong understanding of hooks, pacing, lighting, audio, and visual storytelling.
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Experience with mobile video equipment and/or DSLR or mirrorless cameras, wireless microphones, and basic lighting.
- Confidence interviewing and communicating with homeowners, employees, and leadership.
- Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- The initiative to work independently without constant supervision.
- A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel to job sites.
- Comfort working in active construction environments.
It's a plus if you have:
- Experience in construction, home services, the trades, or another blue-collar industry.
- Created recruiting, employer-brand, or paid social content.
- Familiarity with Marcus Sheridan's They Ask, You Answer approach or Meta Ad Library.
- Used AI tools to support ideas, scripts, editing, captions, or production.
You do not need construction experience to succeed here. We can teach you our services. We need someone who knows how to find an interesting story and make people want to watch it.
Equipment and Software
We provide professional cameras and video equipment, wireless microphones, lighting, a high-performance editing workstation, and production software. Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Descript, or similar tools is helpful. We value the quality of your work and your ability to use your tools effectively more than any one software preference.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Jefferson City, MO, with regular travel to customer job sites throughout Mid-Missouri. Hours generally follow normal business hours, with flexibility for project and crew schedules.
You should be comfortable with:
- Occasional early starts, sometimes around 6:30 a.m.
- Occasional late-afternoon or evening shoots when projects or customer availability require them.
- Working outdoors and around basements, crawlspaces, concrete, tools, equipment, mud, dust, and changing weather.
- Traveling between our Jefferson City location and job sites.
PPE will be provided. Reliable transportation is required.
Compensation and Growth
Starting pay is $24-$27 per hour, depending on experience and ability. Exceptional candidates may be considered for up to $30 per hour.
We'll conduct a formal performance review at approximately 90 days. A compensation increase may be available based on the quality and consistency of your work, results, and delivery of agreed milestones.
As Raising Solutions and its related companies grow, there may be an opportunity to expand into a Creative Director / Marketing Manager role with broader responsibility for content and creative strategy across multiple brands and locations.
