    JOB OVERVIEW: The Contract Administration & Performance Manager plays a vital role in supporting the continued growth and evolution of Valley Medical Center''s Managed Care team. The position serves as a key liaison between Payor Contracting and Revenue Cycle, Finance, Credentialing, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate effective contract implementation, maintain contract records and payer relationships, monitor contract compliance and performance, resolve contract-related issues, and support operational excellence.

    DEPARTMENT: Analytical Services & Payor Contracting

    WORK HOURS: Typically, Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm; Hours may vary to meet department needs.

    REPORTS TO: Director, Payor Contracting

    PREREQUISITES:

    Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, required.

    Minimum of 5 years'' experience in healthcare contract administration, managed care, provider relations, revenue cycle or a related healthcare operations role, required

    Working knowledge of managed care contracting processes, payor reimbursement methodologies, and contract lifecycle management.

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

    Proficient in reviewing contract language and identifying discrepancies or operational impacts.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams.

    Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing effectively as a collaborative team member.

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information.

    UNIQUE PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS, ENVIRONMENT AND WORKING CONDITIONS: High pressure environment where deadlines can be tight. The organization relies heavily on the accuracy and direction of the work produced. Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.

    Must possess ability to work independently, with a minimum of direction, and take initiative in problem solving.

    Requires prolonged periods of sitting and prolonged exposure to computer monitor and keyboarding.

    Essential Responsibilities and Competencies:

    Serve as the operational lead for managed care contract administration, maintaining oversight of contract inventories, amendments, key terms, renewal timelines, and implementation or termination activities.

    Coordinate with payors and internal departments to obtain required documentation and facilitate timely execution of agreements and amendments.

    Support implementation of new contracts, amendments, single case agreements, and payer policy changes, ensuring adequate stakeholder communication across relevant downstream operational teams.

    Review contract documentation for completeness, consistency, and compliance with organizational standards, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues as appropriate.

    Monitor payer performance and contract compliance, partnering with operational and financial leaders to identify trends, risks, and variances requiring intervention or escalation.
