The Opportunity

The Contract Analyst II is responsible for issuing institutional policy contracts in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations. You will consult with Service, Compliance, Product, and other partner areas to identify product specifications and issuance requirements related to product development, product updates, and changes in insurance laws and regulations.

You will also manage the contract issuance process and related systems, as well as provide input on contract language used to issue approved contracts. Manages contract issuance process and systems; and consults on the creation of language to issue approved contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains strong relationships with Implementation, Service, Plan Master, Legal, Compliance, Products, and other internal partners as well as with external customers by delivering extraordinary customer service.
  • Attends internal calls and customer calls if required based on case complexity.
  • Maintain adequate file documentation according to set procedures.
  • Develop Subject Matter Expert and Compliance Expert skills.
  • Leads or plays and active role in cross-team projects or activities that improve business process and operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in insurance contract work; Competent level of contract knowledge and technical writing skills.
  • Familiarity with insurance laws and regulations pertaining to policy and filing procedures with compliant contracts.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organizational ability, and attention to detail, with a customer-focused mindset, effective written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated technical and functional expertise, and the ability to negotiate effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use approved AI tools to support routine tasks such as drafting, summarizing, organization information, and improving day-to-day efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education.
  • Related contract experience in one of the following insurance products: Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, vision, life, or dental.
  • In depth knowledge of compliance, local and federal insurance regulations.

The expected salary range for this position is $68,000 - $72,000. This role may also be eligible for annual short-term incentive compensation. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
