What You Will Be Doing:

Contracts Lead for F-35 Production Business Unit. In close collaboration with BU Program and Finance leadership, this role will lead the team responsible for F-35 air vehicle production, obsolescence, and support equipment contract negotiation and management.

Responsible for supervisory responsibilities and coordinate subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration. Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations. Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer buying representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives. Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance. Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions. Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance. Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations. May plan and participate in training of contract practices within Company. Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the Contracts Lead for the F-35 Production Business Unit, providing strategic oversight and leadership across a complex portfolio of production, obsolescence, and support equipment contracts. Lead and develop a high-performing contracts team while partnering with Program and Finance leadership to drive contractual strategy, negotiations, execution, compliance, and business objectives. Provide guidance on contract interpretation, risk management, terms and conditions, regulatory requirements, and contract changes throughout the lifecycle, while supporting proposals and business growth initiatives. Foster collaboration across Program Management, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, and other functions, drive continuous process improvements, and communicate key contractual risks, opportunities, and recommendations to senior leadership.

Who You Are:

You are a strategic and influential leader with extensive experience in contract management, negotiations, and business operations within complex government and aerospace environments. You possess a strong understanding of production programs, contractual risk management, regulatory compliance, and business strategy, enabling you to navigate complex negotiations, balance customer requirements with organizational objectives, and drive successful business outcomes. You excel at building high-performing teams, fostering cross-functional partnerships, and advising senior leadership while managing competing priorities, mitigating risks, and aligning contract strategy with program execution and financial objectives to support the success of the F-35 Production Business Unit.

Basic Qualifications

• Significant experience with USG contracting; FAR and DFARS.
• Significant proposal / capture experience.
• Significant experience with OEM product production contracting, including production during ongoing product development.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security clearance

Full-Time Salary Range: $134900.00 - $250500.00
