Contract PCB Inspector

Quality Inspector (IPC-A-610 & J-STD-001 Certified)

We're seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support inspection of high-reliability SMT circuit boards used in demanding applications. This is a critical role requiring strong microscope inspection skills and active industry certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect densely populated, double-sided SMT PCBs to IPC-A-610 and customer-specific criteria.
• Evaluate solder joints, component placement, exposed copper, pad damage, conformal coating, staking, and other defect conditions.
• Document inspection results and separate accepted and rejected units.
• Work under microscopes (20x+ magnification) for the majority of the shift in a cleanroom/ESD-controlled environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Active IPC-A-610 Certification (required)
• Active J-STD-001 Certification (required)
• Experience inspecting fine-pitch, high-density PCB assemblies.
• Ability to identify differences between lead-free and tin-lead solder.
• Comfortable performing detailed microscope inspections throughout the workday.

Preferred Experience:

• Inspection of high-reliability or military/aerospace electronics.
• Familiarity with components such as ICs, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transformers, GaN FETs, and miniature components (0402/1212).

Work Environment:

• Seated bench inspection in an ESD-controlled cleanroom environment.
• Expected throughput of approximately 10-12 fully inspected units per day.
