About the role

As a Contract Robot Technician, you are our person on site. You install, maintain and repair commercial robots at customer locations, and a remote specialist supports you on every job.

This is hands-on, safety-focused work at sites that rely on their robots running. It suits someone who follows procedures carefully, stays calm when a machine is down, and writes clear job notes.

What you will do

• Install robots and check that they work correctly.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance using our checklists.
• Respond to service calls, follow step-by-step troubleshooting, and escalate anything you can't fix to our remote specialists.
• Find and fix mechanical, electrical, and software problems.
• Show customer staff how to use the robots, and explain each repair in plain words.
• Record each visit with photos, job notes, parts used, and customer sign-off.
• Flag problems that keep coming back so we can fix the cause.
• Plan your visits and agree times with customers.
• Keep your tools and spare parts ready.
• Follow site and equipment safety rules, including lockout/tagout.

What makes you a great fit

• Practical experience fixing or maintaining equipment. Field service, appliance repair, low-voltage work, and facilities maintenance are useful backgrounds.
• Solid troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical problems.
• You can read wiring diagrams and follow detailed work instructions.
• Reliable, a clear communicator, and you keep accurate job records.
• Willing to ask for help and report mistakes.
• A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to get to customer sites.
• Able to work in different weather conditions and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Previous robotics experience is not required.

Bonus points

• Experience with commercial robots, such as cleaning, delivery or mowing robots.
• Customer-facing field service experience.
• Spanish.

Pay

This is contract work, paid per completed work order, at $25 to $55 per hour.
