Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Contract Specialist II to support project teams with contract and commercial activities. This role will be responsible for identifying and mitigating contract risks, managing contractual obligations, supporting commercial discussions, and handling contract-related matters throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in commercial and strategic project discussions to identify, evaluate, and mitigate contract risks.
- Prepare contract summaries, contract reviews, contract obligation matrices, and provide guidance on contractual requirements.
- Prepare and review contractual correspondence with clients, partners, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
- Monitor project deliverables and identify potential contractual risks and opportunities.
- Manage contractual and commercial matters related to Management of Change (MOC).
- Ensure claims are submitted within the contractual timeframes and required internal approvals are obtained.
- Prepare and negotiate claims involving clients, joint venture partners, and subcontractors.
- Work closely with onshore and offshore project teams and other internal functions.
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contracts/contract management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with Subsea contracts preferred.
- Oil & Gas industry experience required.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience with claims, change management, and contractual risk assessment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
- Experience in law or a commercial discipline is advantageous.
- Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without restriction.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
