Job Summary:
We are seeking a Contracting Support Manager for an Assignment in Hanscom AFB. The ideal candidate is local to Bedford, MA or nearby areas, has a strong background in DoD contracting, including at least 5 years of relevant experience and 2 years within a DoD environment. They are detail-oriented, professional, and possess an Active DoD-Issued Secret Clearance.
As a Contracting Support Manager, you will provide expert-level guidance and administrative assistance for Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with DoD civilians, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, while supporting the full lifecycle of contracting activities.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist with price/cost evaluation activities (excluding participation in negotiations).
Oversee and execute contract close-out procedures.
Gather, analyze, and report on data related to contracting and program activities.
Provide clerical, administrative, and office support for contract operations.
Conduct training sessions related to contract processes and activities.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
At least 5 years of experience in contracting support, including 2 years in a DoD environment.
Comprehensive understanding of DoD contracting principles, policies, and program management.
Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
Active Secret clearance or eligibility for a Top-Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Previous experience working on a military base, particularly Hanscom AFB.
Familiarity with contract management systems and tools.
Advanced knowledge of acquisition regulations and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively train and collaborate with DoD personnel.
